The Hoosiers have had an outstanding start in their quest to upset No. 8 Cincinnati.
While the Bearcats had the ball on their 35-yard line, Marcelino McCrary-Ball came up with a ginormous turnover for the Hoosiers defense and picked off Desmond Ridder.

The ball was originally tipped but it still fell right into the hands of McCrary-Ball for the turnover. This was his first interception of the season after he came into the game with 8 total tackles (5 solo) through 2 games.
The Hoosiers ended up capitalizing off this turnover as Michael Penix Jr. found tight end Peyton Hendershot, for a 16-yard touchdown pass. He ended up stretching for the goal line right as he was getting tackled.

This was Penix’s 3rd touchdown pass of the season after having 2 combined in the first 2 weeks of the season. If the Hoosiers win this game, it would be one of, if not the biggest victory of Tom Allen’s career there.
