Trayce Jackson-Davis is coming back to Indiana for one final season. After investigating the NBA Draft, Jackson-Davis is returning for his senior season and a second season under head coach Mike Woodson.
Jackson-Davis has already been a key piece for the Hoosiers during his stay in Bloomington, including leading the team in scoring, rebound and blocks during the 2021-22 season. However, he still has room to improve and Woodson touched on that during comments on Wednesday.
According to Woodson, Jackson-Davis still needs to work on his shooting. Woodson said Jackson-Davis has “gotta shoot the basketball and feel good about shooting the basketball.”
Didn’t get the whole quote in the tweet but Woodson’s overall point was TJD needs to accept some failure to improve his jumper this winter. #iubb

Jackson-Davis has shown flashes of his shooting potential during his career but has yet to find a consistent jumper. Doing so could lead to a big year for Indiana and a jump in personal draft stock for Jackson-Davis.
Woodson also hammered on Indiana’s need to knock down open 3-pointers after getting a number of open looks during the 2021-22 season. Unfortunately, the Hoosiers finished 11th in the B1G on 3-point percentage at 33% despite those open looks.
Woodson: “Statistically it showed that we were in the top five in the country in open looks from 3. We just have to step up and make them.” #iubb
