Mike Woodson discusses Indiana's First Four draw vs. Wyoming
Indiana is going dancing!
During Sunday’s bracket reveal for the NCAA Tournament, Indiana was slotted in as a 12-seed in the East Region. It is the first bid to the big dance for the Hoosiers since 2016 as a 5-seed under Tom Crean.
Though the Hoosiers are in, Indiana’s seeding left some questions for fans. Michigan – a fellow team on the bubble for the tournament who Indiana beat in the B1G Tournament – earned an 11-seed and is safely in without having to play in the First Four.
Regardless of those questions, the Hoosiers have a simple task ahead. Win and advance. That tournament journey begins Tuesday evening against Wyoming in Dayton, Ohio.
Following the announcement, head coach Mike Woodson addressed the trip to March Madness. Here’s what he had to say:
Woodson: “This is not about me, it’s about our players and our program. … We got our marching orders this evening and now we have to start prepping to play Wyoming.”

Mike Woodson: “At the end of the day, we’re in. We’ve got to play the play-in game. That’s my only concern right now.” #iubb

Woodson: “You come to college to play basketball. You come to make the tournament and get an education. A lot of these guys have been sitting on the sideline for years watching basketball played in March and never knowing what it’s about.

Woodson: “It’s not going to be hard for me to understand what’s at stake here.”

Woodson: “It’s a quick turnaround. We gotta get ready to play Wyoming. It’s just that simple.”
