Mike Woodson is gearing up for the 2022-23 basketball season. Woodson provided improvements Indiana basketball has made during the offseason.

Indiana is coming into this season as a Big-Ten favorite, making the preseason coaches poll at No.14 and with other analysts picking the Hoosiers’ to make a run for the Big Ten title.

Woodson is getting excited to see Indiana basketball compete this season and is confident that they will be a strong candidate throughout with more stamina from the young players, possibly seeing action off the bench. He highlighted why this season will be huge for the Hoosiers.

I think the fact that we’re longer this year… and we’re a little more athletic adding those freshmen, hopefully, we can be rangier and long and be able to do things from a defensive standpoint.

Indiana will be in action on Saturday for its exhibition game against Marian University at 3:00 p.m. ET and will officially begin the season on Nov. 7 against Morehead State.
