The morning of Saturday, Feb. 26, Creek has tweeted he was “on his way out.” On Sunday, however, he tweeted that he “never felt so hopeless in my life,” indicating he was unable to leave.
Creek has been playing for Mykolaiv in the Ukraine Superleague. The league did not pause play until last week, despite the United States State Department’s advisory for all American citizens to leave the country due to the conflict with Russia. Creek spent 4 years at Indiana, playing in 54 games over 3 seasons, missing time due to injury. He transferred to George Washington to complete his college basketball career.
