Omar Cooper Jr. makes men miss, scores TD to keep Indiana close vs. Penn State
Omar Cooper Jr. and Indiana are looking to keep things close on the road against Penn State. Despite entering the game as a 31-point underdog, the Hoosiers closed the gap to 24-21 in the fourth quarter.
The latest touchdown came on a throw from Brendan Sorsby to Cooper. The receiver was originally in double coverage, but Sorsby’s throw found its mark.
After the reception, Cooper hit a quick cut to the inside to make a pair of Nittany Lion defenders miss. It was an easy path to the end zone from there as Cooper scored from 26 yards out.
The touchdown grab gives Indiana scoring plays of 90, 69 and 26 yards against Penn State.

With Penn State clinging to a 24-21 lead in the fourth quarter, Indiana could get a shot to tie or win the game. A current concern right now is the health of Sorsby.
He was visibly dinged up on the most recent drive and clutching his right arm or shoulder while coming off the field. Sorsby was checked out on the sideline but it looks like he’ll get a shot to return to action down the stretch.
