Basketball is more than just a sport in Indiana; it’s a way of life. And for hoops fanatics living in the great Hoosier State, an opportunity to live inside a real high school basketball gym is now on the table. No, seriously.
A home at 6816 N 1025 E in Wilkinson, Indiana was recently listed on the market. Though unimpressive from the outside, the 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom residence was built inside the old gym for Wilkinson High School.
According to the listing on Zillow, the gym was originally constructed in 1950. The living quarters are built on one half of the gym while the other half contains one of the original basketball goals and the original maple flooring.
Images shared on social media also show that the kitchen was constructed around one of the original lanes with the free-throw line left intact.

If those details aren’t enough to draw interest, Dana Hunsinger Benbow with the Indy Star pointed out the home is just 8 miles from the filming location of the movie “Hoosiers.” Hunsinger Benbow also reports the home has been shown 20 times with 3 offers already on the table, so it does not sound like the house will be available for long.
