Race Thompson sustained a head injury as Indiana and Little Rock battled it out on Wednesday.

The power forward took an elbow to the side of his head as he set up for a Hoosier rebound. The shot drew blood, and Thompson was seen clutching a towel to his face as he headed to the locker room for treatment.

Thompson was replaced by Kaleb Banks while he received medical attention, but shortly after leaving the court, Thompson returned.

Thompson joined Indiana as a 4-star prospect in the 2017 recruiting class per the 247Sports Composite, and has been instrumental to the Hoosiers since.

The forward revealed earlier this year that he would be headed back to Bloomington for one final season with the Hoosiers. Thompson started all 35 games last season, averaging 11.1 points per game. Thompson also finished second on the team in rebounding (7.5 per game) and steals (1.1 per game).
