Alabama is looking to Bloomington to try and find its next strength and conditioning coach, according to a report from Sports Illustrated’s Tom Brew.

Saturday, Brew reported that Alabama has offered Indiana strength and conditioning coach David Ballou the same job with the Crimson Tide. Though there has been no official word yet, Ballou is expected to take the job in Tuscaloosa.

IU’s athletic performance coach Dr. Matt Rhea is also expected to head to Tuscaloosa, according to the report.

Ballou was a fullback for the Hoosiers in the 1990s. He has been with the football program since 2018, and was previously the co-strength and conditioning coordinator with Notre Dame. Before hitting the college ranks, Ballou worked at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.

Alabama is looking to replace Scott Cochran, who left the Crimson Tide to join Kirby Smart at Georgia.
