Police officers responded to a call on Oct. 12 and located a 24-year-old female victim who had sustained several injuries to her head and face. She told authorities that she had been sexually assaulted by 25-year-old Wesley Green, who also allegedly struck the victim in the head and face several times.

From WISH TV 8:

As a result of the assault, the woman suffered a fractured eye socket and bleeding on the brain. Due to the seriousness of her injuries, she was then flown to IU Health Methodist Hospital.

[Green] faces preliminary charges of rape, aggravated battery, domestic battery and resisting law enforcement.

Green was a member of Indiana’s football team from 2015 until his dismissal 2017. He played the cornerback position and transferred from IU from South Carolina after the 2014 season.
