South Alabama head coach Kane Wommack is slowly starting to assemble his staff at the school and that includes a couple of new hires that are coming.

According to a report from Football Scoop, Wommack will be hiring Dwike Wilson as cornerbacks coach and Will Windham as the linebackers coach.

Wilson will be a name that Big Ten fans recognize as he was with Wommack at Indiana. He’s currently the Hoosiers director of player personnel and high school relations. He’s also had experience coaching defensive backs as he was with Mississippi Junior Colleges.

If Windham takes the job as linebackers coach, he would be coming from Kent State where he currently coaches the safeties.

The report also says that Wommack is close to hiring a defensive coordinator but that he hasn’t been hired yet. We’ll have to see what his full staff looks like once it’s finalized.
