According to a recent report, one Indiana staff member will be following Kane Wommack to his reported destination.

Saturday morning, reports surfaced that Wommack is going to be leaving the Hoosiers. The defensive coordinator for Indiana since 2019, Wommack has reportedly landed the head coaching position at South Alabama. He previously coached at South Alabama from 2016-17 before coming to Bloomington.

On Saturday afternoon, another report surfaced, this time surrounding the potential departure of Dwike Wilson. According to Bruce Feldman, Wilson is expected to leave the Hoosiers to join Wommack’s staff at South Alabama.

Wilson is Indiana’s Director of Player Personnel and High School Relations:

Wilson has ties to the southeast, having previously served at North Carolina A&T and multiple community colleges in the state of Mississippi. His most recent stop came at Jones County Community College where he served as the Assistant Head Coach, DC, and LB Coach.

It will not be easy for Tom Allen to replace some key departures, but he still has the culture arounding the Hoosiers moving in the right direction.
