Indiana QB Donaven McCulley may have a position change coming up on the horizon. The ‘Voice of the Hoosiers’ Don Fischer stated that the move has already happened per Dustin Doparak of the IndyStar.
With the QB competition now between Jack Tuttle and Missouri transfer Connor Bazelak, McCulley has reportedly been switched to WR. Don Fischer stated this on the Indiana sports talk radio station ‘107.5 The Fan’ on June 6. There hasn’t been any word from head coach Tom Allen or anyone inside the program if the news is true.
Here’s what Fischer said about it per ‘107.5 The Fan’:
“They’ve taken Donaven McCulley out of the quarterback role and they moved him to wide receiver,” Fischer said on the radio show. “I think you’re going to see some spectacular things out of this kid before he’s done at Indiana. He’s a terrific athlete. He’s 6-5. He can really, really run. That’s one thing he did last year when he was called upon to play at quarterback.”
McCulley is still listed as a QB on Indiana’s roster. It’ll be interesting to see if Allen comments on the potential position change in the next few days.
