Behind an eight-yard touchdown pass from redshirt junior Peyton Ramsey to junior Whop Philyor and a one-yard run by Ramsey, the Indiana Hoosiers bolted out to a 14-0 second quarter lead over the Purdue Boilermakers at Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette on Saturday.

After junior J.D. Dellinger got the Boilermakers on the board with a 20-yard field goal, redshirt sophomore Aidan O’Connell found redshirt senior tight end Brycen Hopkins for a 72-yard touchdown to bring Purdue within one score.

With about 3:30 remaining in the first half, freshman tailback Sampson James put the Hoosiers up by two possessions once again with a three-yard plunge.

The Big Ten Network shared the highlight on Twitter:

The 122nd all-time meeting between these two programs, the Boilermakers hold the edge, 74-41-6, and have won two straight in the rivalry.

Indiana won four straight contests from 2013-16, but has yet to defeat Jeff Brohm during his three-year reign in West Lafayette.

Off to a good start in their quest to change this fact, Indiana at Purdue is currently airing on ESPN2.
