First it was Khristian Lander, now it’s Jordan Geronimo. Both are heading back to Bloomington.

Shortly after Lander announced he was withdrawing his name from the NCAA transfer portal and returning to Indiana, Geronimo made the same announcement. That’s great news for the Hoosiers, who saw six players enter the database after Archie Miller was fired.

Hiring Mike Woodson appears to be the right move, as Trayce Jackson-Davis, Lander and Geronimo are all intending to return to IU for the 2021-22 season.

Geronimo played in 21 games during his freshman season in Bloomington, averaging just over 8 minutes per contest. He averaged 2.2 points and 1.8 rebounds per game while the Hoosiers ended the season with a 12-15 record.

Geronimo’s return, as well as Lander’s, will give Woodson some much-needed depth and talent at the guard positions heading into next season. Pair that with a strong inside presence that Jackson-Davis provides and the Hoosiers could be in good shape under the new regime.
