Indiana’s presence on the Florida recruiting front continues to pay dividends.

Thursday afternoon, the Hoosiers landed a major commitment from 2019 3-star cornerback Tiawan Mullen out Pompano Beach, Florida. He gave his verbal pledge through a message on Twitter, thanking all of his family, friends and current coaching staff.

“I would also like to thank all the schools that have recruited and gave me an opportunity to be a student-athlete at your university,” he said. “So with that be said, I’ll be committing to (Indiana University).”

Mullen becomes the 15th commit of Indiana’s 2019 recruiting class, which currently ranks 48th nationally and 11th in the B1G. He’s the second-highest rated prospect of the group, behind only 4-star defensive end Beau Robbins.

Mullen is ranked as a top 50 cornerback, according to 247Sports.

Indiana landed Mullen over Nebraska and Pitt, two schools who made the cornerback’s top three. In total, Mullen had 20 offers, including four from B1G schools.
