Tamar Bates had high praise for Indiana’s bench following the Hoosiers’ routing of Jackson State Friday afternoon.

The Hoosiers had 49 of their 90 points off the bench, with Bates dropping 22 off the bench.

“The whole team is as strong as the bench,” Bates said following the game.

The Hoosiers are off to a hot 6-0 start to the season following the win against Jackson State. They are gearing up to get into a tough stretch of games where they will take on North Carolina in the ACC/B1G Challenge followed by games against Arizona and Kansas just a few games later.

It will certainly be a litmus test early in the season, but the Hoosiers are in good hands with a solid bench behind them.

The Hoosiers also expect star player Trayce Jackson-Davis, who is averaging over 20 points per game, to be back to full strength soon following a thumb injury early in the season.
