There’s an old cliché that one can’t really accomplish anything until one believes in oneself. Indiana head coach Tom Allen is taking that to heart this week with the Hoosiers heading to Penn State this Saturday.

“As I’ve been very clear from the beginning, is that if you don’t believe, I don’t want you around us,” Allen said Tuesday in his press conference.

“If you don’t believe that we can go to Penn State and win at Penn State for the first time in program history, then don’t get on the bus.”

Penn State is on a five-game winning streak against Indiana and are 21-1 all time versus the Hoosiers. The Nittany Lions are 10-0 at home in the series.

However, this is a different Indiana football team. The Hoosiers have already won seven games this year, and the last time they did that was 2007. Should they win just one of their last four remaining contests, including the bowl game, Indiana will reach eight victories for the first time since 1993.

Penn State entered last week undefeated but fell on the road to also undefeated Minnesota.
