Indiana head coach Tom Allen has finally put to rest for why his team won’t be having the Big Ten patch on their jerseys for the Outback Bowl on Saturday.

Here’s what Allen had to say about the matter, courtesy of Jeff Rabjohns:

As the statement says, the “LEO” stands for “Love Each Other” which is Allen’s mantra for the program.

It was previously thought that it was potentially out of protest since the Citrus Bowl decided to take Northwestern over the Hoosiers, despite them being 6-1 in the regular season. With Allen’s statement out there now, that theory can quickly be put to rest.

Indiana has a chance to finish their season at 7-1 on Saturday when they face 4-5 Ole Miss. If they get the win, they’ll likely climb into the top 10 when the next rankings come out.

Kickoff is at 12:30 p.m. ET and the game will be televised by ABC.
