Tom Allen discusses Indiana's upcoming visit to Nebraska: 'I know we're going to get their very best shot'
Indiana is coming off a 45-24 loss at Cincinnati. After opening the season against B1G West team Illinois, followed by non-conference games against Idaho and Western Kentucky, it’s B1G opponents the rest of the way for Tom Allen’s group, starting with Saturday at Nebraska.
The Cornhuskers, of course, fired Scott Frost after a loss to Georgia Southern. In the 1st game under interim head coach Mickey Joseph a week later, they were blow out at home against Oklahoma. Despite that, Allen isn’t taking anything for granted, while noting that the Hoosiers’ last road outing didn’t go as planned.
“I know we’re going to get their very best shot,” the head coach said on Monday, according to IUSTV’s Gwen Parks. “We have to be at our very best, no question. We just got to grow as a team. Our first road game last week, we didn’t handle the situation the way we needed to early for sure.”
Coming off their 1st loss of the season, the Hoosiers will look to bounce back and up their record to 4-1. Their meeting with the Huskers is the 1st since 2019, a 38-31 Indiana win.
