Tom Allen has a brutal way of prepping the Hoosiers for Wisconsin's cold weather
Indiana head coach Tom Allen has put his players through the most this week as they prepare to play No. 16 Wisconsin.
He’s had his players practicing every day outside to prepare for the Wisconsin cold weather, according to Zach Osterman.
IU has been practicing outside every single day this week. Tom Allen says he expects the Wisconsin cold, and wants to be ready for that.
For reference, it's not going to be colder in Madison than Bloomington, really. There are, however, better fried cheese curds. #iufb

Allen followed that up in another tweet as he explains that there’s absolutely no dome in Wisconsin:
IU coach Tom Allen says they have practiced outside every day, because if you're playing in the cold, he wants to practice in it.
"Last time I checked, there is not a dome in Madison, Wisconsin." #iufb

It’s a bold strategy but it makes perfect sense as Wisconsin has some of the coldest temperatures in the country around this time of year.
Indiana will also be without starting quarterback Michael Penix Jr. for this game and the rest of the season as he suffered a torn ACL last week.
Allen also updated the status of a few players heading into the game as Caleb Jones and Lance Bryant seem to be game-time decisions for the Hoosiers:
Tom Allen says RB Sampson James is back with the team. He has been dealing with a personal situation with his family.
Caleb Jones and Lance Bryant are both progressing. Allen says their status will be updated at game-time Saturday. #iufb
