Indiana hoops notched its first signature upset of the season, taking down No. 4 Iowa on the road Thursday evening!

After what has been an up-and-down year for Archie Miller’s Hoosiers, the team was not fazed by taking on Luka Garza and the tough Hawkeyes in Iowa City. That did not change as Indiana faced a six-point deficit heading into halftime.

Coming out of the break, the Hoosiers dominated the second half, outscoring Iowa by 18 points in the final 20 minutes for the win. Star forward Trayce Jackson-Davis was the leader, putting up a team-high 23 points to go with seven rebounds and a block for Indiana.

The other big story for the Hoosiers was their defense against a deep and talented Hawkeye squad. Though Garza did score 28 points, Indiana limited the rest of the Iowa team to a 21.7% shooting night from three-point range. Jordan Bohannon was also held scoreless, going 0-for-9 shooting for the night.

After the game, Tom Allen weighed in on the results via social media. He was absolutely fired up to see the Hoosiers go toe-to-toe on the road.

The win moves Indiana to 4-4 in conference play this season, but the second half of the B1G schedule doesn’t get any easier. The Hoosiers will face Rutgers on Sunday before starting a stretch of facing four ranked opponents in the next five games.
