Trayce Jackson-Davis was one of the final picks of the night on Thursday for the 2023 NBA Draft.

The Golden State Warriors traded for the No. 57 overall pick — the penultimate selection of this year’s draft — to take Jackson-Davis.

The next stop for Jackson-Davis is Summer League, where he will try to leave an impressive on Golden State’s front office. Jackson-Davis will likely be competing for a roster spot with the Warriors this offseason.

Warriors GM Mike Dunleavy told reporters late Thursday night that the plan is for Jackson-Davis to be on the team’s 15-man roster, as opposed to occupying a 2-way slot.

Dunleavy said Jackson-Davis was much higher on the Warriors’ board than No. 57:

Jackson-Davis was projected to be an early 2nd round pick. During his slide down the draft board, he shared this message on Twitter:

Jacksono-Davis had a very productive career at Indiana. Last season, he recorded 20.9 points and 10.8 rebounds per contest.
