Tyler Morris developed into a key piece for Michigan‘s offense over the past 2 seasons. However, he’s not on his way to Indiana to play for Curt Cignetti and the Hoosiers in 2025.
Morris announced his plans to enter the transfer portal shortly after the regular season ended. He revealed on Saturday that is headed to Bloomington after appearing in 34 career games over 3 seasons in Ann Arbor.

Morris began to breakout a bit during Michigan’s 2023 national championship run, coming up big in the Rose Bowl win over Alabama. He had 45 yards and a key touchdown grab as the Wolverines knocked off the Tide in the semifinals.
During the 2024 season, Morris set career-high marks with 23 catches for 248 yards and 2 touchdowns. He had 7 catches for 64 yards but struggled at times with the Wolverines getting subpar quarterback play for much of the year. Morris has been used as a punt return for Michigan with 14 career returns for 126 yards.
Even with star QB prospect Bryce Underwood joining the program for 2025, Morris will be heading to the Hoosiers, and it’s likely he will get more chances strictly based on the offensive system in place. Cignetti’s offense likes to throw it around and helped QB Kurtis Rourke set a single-season program record with 29 passing touchdowns this season.
We’ll see how it works out for Morris and his new team.
