There’s a relatively important B1G cross-division game flying under the radar this weekend.

Most of the attention will be on Michigan State-Penn State and Wisconsin-Michigan on Saturday, but an afternoon contest between Iowa (4-1) and Indiana (4-2) shouldn’t be overlooked. One team will be one step closer to bowl eligibility after the weekend.

For the Hawkeyes, the weekend is especially big as they try to stay alive in the B1G West race.

Ahead of Saturday’s matchup between Iowa and Indiana, BTN analyst James Laurinaitis made a bold prediction for the game. He’s picking the Hoosiers to knock off the Hawkeyes.

Indiana is just a five-point underdog for Saturday’s game. Plus, the Hoosiers have the benefit of home-field advantage. On paper, a win for Tom Allen’s bunch wouldn’t be a huge upset.

Saturday will mark the first head-to-head matchup between the two teams since 2015. Iowa has won the last two games and six of the previous seven contests.

Iowa also leads the all-time series 44-28-4.
