Indiana has officially welcomed Deland McCullough back to Bloomington.

Monday, the Hoosiers announced that McCullough has been named the new running backs coach after spending the last three seasons in the same role with the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs. It’s a return for McCullough, who coached the RBs at IU from 2011-16 under then-head coach Kevin Wilson.

When previous running backs coach Mike Hart left Indiana for Michigan, McCullough reached out to head coach Tom Allen about the vacancy. Shortly after, the Hoosiers had found their next position coach.

McCullough is scheduled to make $515,000 in 2021 and will see a pay increase to $530,000 for the second year of his contract. On Tuesday, just one day after the news became official, McCullough spoke with the media about his return to Indiana.
