What Tom Allen said after Indiana’s tough loss to Cincinnati

Indiana fought hard all game long against No. 8 Cincinnati but it was not enough with the Bearcats pulling away late.
The Hoosiers were in the thick of the contest all game long and went toe-to-toe with Luke Fickell’s squad. Unfortunately, Cincinnati outscored Indiana 15-0 in the fourth quarter, proving to be the difference in the 38-24 final score.
Among other issues, Indiana QB Michael Penix Jr. continued his early-season struggles while going 17-for-40 through the air with 3 interceptions. That inconsistent performance led to 3 empty trips inside the red zone against the Bearcats.
After the game, head coach Tom Allen touched on those empty possessions and the QB play, among other things. Here’s what Allen had to say about the Week 3 performance:
Tom Allen on three empty red-zone trips: “You can’t be in the red zone three times and get no points. To me, that was the game right there.” #iufb
