Week 8 of the college football season has some intriguing Big Ten matchups.

Indiana-Penn State may not be eye-popping to some, but the Hoosiers have shown potential. Penn State, while ranked No. 18 in the latest AP Poll, was an eyelash away from beating No. 2 Ohio State. The Nittany Lions may be young in many areas, but are extremely talented.

On Saturday, Indiana is hosting Penn State at 3:30 p.m. and the game is being televised on ABC. Before the game begins, the Hoosiers will have a special guest.

As the team will be honoring the 1986, 1987 and 1988 bowl teams, the wife of Hall of Fame coach Bill Mallory, Elli Mallory, will be an honorary captain for the game.

Bill Mallory coached the Hoosiers from 1984-96 and was the man in charge of those 1986, 1987 and 1988 bowl teams. Mallory is well-known by Hoosier fans that followed the team in the 1980s and will get the chance to cheer on his wife Saturday.

Bill Mallory passed away three days after a brain surgery on May 25.
