B1G Network analyst apologizes to Iowa RB Tyler Goodson for 'egregious error' in Top 30 ranking
When B1G Network analyst Joshua Perry did his “Top 30 Players in the B1G” this offseason, he left Iowa’s Tyler Goodson off the list.
Goodson was First Team All-B1G last season and was named Preseason Fourth Team All-America this year, meaning he’s probably in the top 30 players of the league, right?
Hawkeye Nation let Perry hear about it, and he apologized to Goodson — and the fans — in a video on the B1G Network Twitter page Thursday afternoon.
"I made an egregious error." 😂@HawkeyeFootball fans lit up @RIP_JEP's mentions when he left @tgood1110 off his preseason 𝗝𝗣𝟯𝟬 rankings of the Top 30 players in B1G 🏈.
But it was all love when the two met in Iowa City this week and Joshua apologized. 💛 pic.twitter.com/U27Kl1onxK

“I’ll say this: Hawkeye fans, I appreciate you because you ride for your team and you let me know how big of a dummy I am,” Perry joked.
As a sophomore in 2020, Goodson broke out for the Hawkeyes as their leading rusher. He ran for 762 yards on 143 attempts and found the end zone seven times. Now a junior, he’s in good position to lead the Hawkeye offense once again in 2021.
Iowa will open the season on Sept. 4 against Indiana at home. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. on the B1G Network.
