When B1G Network analyst Joshua Perry did his “Top 30 Players in the B1G” this offseason, he left Iowa’s Tyler Goodson off the list.

Goodson was First Team All-B1G last season and was named Preseason Fourth Team All-America this year, meaning he’s probably in the top 30 players of the league, right?

Hawkeye Nation let Perry hear about it, and he apologized to Goodson — and the fans — in a video on the B1G Network Twitter page Thursday afternoon.

“I’ll say this: Hawkeye fans, I appreciate you because you ride for your team and you let me know how big of a dummy I am,” Perry joked.

As a sophomore in 2020, Goodson broke out for the Hawkeyes as their leading rusher. He ran for 762 yards on 143 attempts and found the end zone seven times. Now a junior, he’s in good position to lead the Hawkeye offense once again in 2021.

Iowa will open the season on Sept. 4 against Indiana at home. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. on the B1G Network.
