Iowa offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Brian Ferentz is gathering a great deal of heat after a pair of anemic offensive performances by the Hawkeyes over their first 2 games.

The Hawkeyes managed just 7 points in their season opener against FCS South Dakota State, a 7-3 win during which they managed just 166 yards of total offense. Things didn’t fare much better during the Cy-Hawk game on Sept. 10, where Iowa fell 10-7 and struggled to just 150 yards in its first loss to Iowa State since 2014.

Things clearly aren’t right in Iowa City. It doesn’t help that Brian Ferentz’s boss is his father, Kirk Ferentz, leading many to believe that the elder Ferentz would have made a move sooner if it had been anyone else leading his offense.

That’s why one fan enlisted Bob Stoops (yes, that Bob Stoops) to do a Cameo for Brian Ferentz, whether or not Big Game Bob — an Iowa alum, by the way — knew which “Brian” he was referring to:

Will Brian Ferentz end up leaving the nest at the end of the season? Or can the Hawkeyes turn their offensive woes around?

Regardless of the answer to those questions, it’s absolutely hilarious that someone paid Bob Stoops to do this.
