Caitlin Clark has already cemented her status as one of the all-time superstars of college basketball. Now, she has Iowa chasing a national title and produced more history during Sunday’s Elite Eight matchup with Louisville.

When it was all said and done, Clark led the Hawkeyes through to the Final Four with a 97-83 win over the Cardinals. She also delivered a historic triple-double with 41 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists.

She becomes the first player ever in the NCAA Tournament (men’s or women’s player) to post a 40-point triple-double.

Clark was efficient in the outing, shooting 11-for-19 from the field with 8 3-pointers. According to ESPN, Clark’s 70 total points accounted for in Sunday’s game are the most for any player in an NCAA Tournament game since 2000.

Can Iowa take the title?

Coming out of Sunday, Iowa has advanced to the Final Four but will await to see which team will be the matchup in the national semifinals. LSU is also through to the Final Four but on the opposite side of the bracket.

The Hawkeyes will face the winner of Monday’s South Carolina vs. Maryland matchup. A win for the Gamecocks would set up a showdown between Iowa and the No. 1 seed and undefeated South Carolina squad. An Iowa vs. South Carolina matchup would also feature a showdown between Player of the Year candidates Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston.
