Caitlin Clark has lived up to her superstar status for Iowa during the NCAA Tournament. In Friday’s Sweet 16 matchup, she took things up another notch.

Facing Colorado, a 6-seed, Clark went off for 31 points to lead all scorers in Iowa’s 87-77 victory. She even added another super long-range bucket to her tally by drilling a 3-point field goal from the March Madness logo near halfcourt.

When it was all said and done, Clark finished the night shooting 11-for-22 from the field and 4-for-9 from 3-point range. She also led the Hawkeyes with 8 assists and added 3 rebounds and 2 steals.

Kate Martin chipped in 16 points while Monika Czinano added 15 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks for Iowa. As a team, the Hawkeyes shot 54.5% from the floor while holding Colorado to 40.8% from the field.

What’s next for Iowa?

With Iowa safely through to the Elite Eight, the Hawkeyes will wait to face the winner of Ole Miss vs. Louisville for a shot at the Final Four. To this point, Iowa has looked locked in during the NCAA Tournament with Clark continuing to lead the way.
