As Caitlin Clark is preparing for the WNBA Draft, she made an appearance on “Saturday Night Live” this week.

Clark joined SNL’s Michael Che and Colin Jost on the set of “Weekend Update” for a skit about women’s sports. The segment opens with Che making a joke about Clark and women’s sports before introducing the Iowa legend.

The rest of the segment mostly included Clark and Jost roasting Che for some of his previous jokes about women’s sports. Che also read some jokes (written by Clark, the show claimed) at his own expense.

Clark’s time on SNL concluded by her acknowledging some WNBA legends such as Sheryl Swoopes, Lisa Leslie, Cynthia Cooper, Dawn Staley and Maya Moore for “kicking down the door” in women’s basketball.

Here’s video of Clark’s full appearance on Weekend Update:

Clark also appeared on set as host Ryan Gosling ended the show. Iowa teammates Kate Martin, Gabbie Marshall and Jada Gyamfi were also on stage with Clark along with much of the cast.

Here’s video of that moment:

Clark is expected to be the No. 1 overall pick in Monday night’s WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever. Clark would presumably make her WNBA debut on May 14 against the Connecticut Sun.
