Caitlin Clark has been named a unanimous preseason All-American by the Associated Press for the second consecutive season.

Clark, who was named National Player of the Year last season, is set to return to Iowa for her senior season in 2023-24. She led the Hawkeyes all the way to the National Championship Game last season.

Clark is joined by five other players on the first-team: LSU’s Angel Reese, UConn’s Paige Bueckers, Stanford’s Cameron Brink, Virginia Tech’s Elizabeth Kitley and Indiana’s Mackenzie Holmes. Kitley and Holmes tied for the fifth spot on the team.

Last season, Clark averaged an astounding 27.8 points, 7.1 rebounds and 8.6 assists assists per game. Clark also made 38.9% of her 3-point attempts on a volume of 9.5 attempts per game.

Clark now returns for her senior season as the Hawkeyes try to make their second consecutive trip to the Final Four. Last season was Iowa’s second trip to the Final Four in program history, with the first coming back in 1993.

Iowa will open the 2023-24 season against FDU on Nov. 6.
