Caitlin Clark is preparing to embark on her WNBA career after a historic run at Iowa.

Clark will find out her destination during Monday’s WNBA Draft with the coverage airing on ESPN at 7:30 pm ET. However, she will not have to wait long to find out where she will begin her pro career.

By all accounts, Clark will be headed to the Indiana Fever with the No. 1 overall pick barring some massively unforeseen change of events. Clark is so heavily expected to be the top pick that FanDuel has already dropped some interesting prop bets for Clark’s rookie season with the Fever.

With that in mind, here are some of our favorite prop bets for Clark’s rookie season in the WNBA:

To record 130+ made 3s in 2024 WNBA regular season (-115 via FanDuel)

There should be little concern that Clark’s game will translate to the WNBA based on her feel for the game and elite court vision. However, the most translatable aspect of her game might be Clark’s 3-point shooting.

Yes, the jump in competition will bring some various challenges, but her volume of 3-pointers in college bares revisiting.

In her final 2 seasons at Iowa, Clark finished with 140 made 3-pointers in 38 games as a junior and a record-setting 201 3-pointers over 39 games in her senior season. Even more incredible, Clark’s efficiency was not a concern as a 37.7% career 3-point shooter and a 38% average her final 2 seasons.

Clark’s 3-point shooting is also the weapon that would most elevate the Fever. Indiana had just 2 players to average at least 1 made 3-pointer per game last season and averaged just 6.7 3-pointers per game as a team.

Even if Clark does struggle to catch up in the WNBA, her shooting will be a threat from the jump, leading to an easy decision to take Clark to make at least 130 3-pointers as a rookie. (Barring injury, of course.)

First basket to be a made 3-pointer in the 2024 WNBA regular season (-150 via FanDuel)

Considering the previous point, there is not a lot to dive into here. Hitting on this prop bet also requires a bit of circumstance to play out, but it still looks like the smart play.

If Clark gets a chance to pull a 3-pointer early in her first game, she’s not going to hesitate to get that first bucket under her belt.

To record 3+ triple-doubles in the 2024 WNBA regular season (+210 via FanDuel)

This is a riskier play until we see exactly how Clark’s playing time and role within the Fever will look, but the odds make this a pick worth investigating.

As a senior, Clark had 6 total triple-doubles and averaged right at 9 assists and over 7 rebounds. She finished her Hawkeye career with 17 triple-doubles, and she’s likely to put up a plethora of double-doubles right out of the gate.

Even if her scoring drops a little bit from Iowa to the WNBA, Clark is all but a lock to average double figures as a rookie, and it’s a fair bet that she will average around the same number of assists as she did at Iowa with translatable court vision.

If she averages close to 9 assists and in double figures for points, all the bet really comes down to is whether or not she can get 10+ rebounds in 3 key games. With a 40-game season, I’ll lean toward taking that bet.

Longshots to consider

Caitlin Clark +1500 to win WNBA MVP (via FanDuel)

How confident are you in Clark’s skill set immediately translating into being a top player in the WNBA? That’s what this bet boils down to.

It’s also worth pointing out A’ja Wilson (+160) and Breanna Stewart (+550) are the only players above +1000 at FanDuel. ESPN Bet does not have Clark listed as of Monday, but Wilson, Stewart and Alyssa Thomas (+900) are the only players with odds better than +1000 prior to the draft.

The value is certainly there if you want to take the plunge on Clark’s MVP odds. However, it’s an admitted longshot, even for the talent of Iowa’s superstar.

To record 10+ made 3s in any 2024 WNBA regular season game (+2600 via FanDuel)

Clark’s 3-point shooting is at another level, and she is arguably the purest shooter we’ve seen in the history of women’s basketball. However, 10+ made 3-pointers in a game would be a brand-new level.

Throughout her Iowa career, Clark had just 11 games with 8+ 3-pointers in a game and just 4 games with 9+. She has never made 10 3-pointers in a game throughout her Hawkeye career.

I would not immediately count Clark out on this one. All it takes is one hot night and a group of teammates to free her up and get her the ball in rhythm, but there’s a reason it’s listed at +2600.
