Caitlin Clark is joining the ranks of Patrick Mahomes and Chris Paul.

The Iowa women’s basketball star signed an NIL deal with State Farm Tuesday, becoming the first college athlete to join the insurance giant with a reputation for being an advertising giant.

Last season’s National Player of the Year could appear in commercials and State Farm events moving forward:

Clark released a statement on the new deal in a press release Tuesday morning:

“State Farm is a team that looks out for others, which is exactly the kind of legacy I want to leave beyond the basketball court,” Clark said in a press release. “I’m honored to be the first college athlete to join the Good Neighbor team – in khakis of course and look forward to growing the women’s game together.”

Clark is one of the most exciting stories in women’s athletics right now, professional or collegiate. She led Iowa to a national title berth before falling to LSU, but has since announced her return for 2023-24. She’s a surefire top 3 pick in the WNBA Draft and one of the best shooters in the women’s game.
