Caitlin Clark stars in new ad with Jimmy Butler, Reggie Miller
Caitlin Clark is everywhere you look these days. The Iowa superstar is reaching an even wider audience with the help of her NIL deal with State Farm. Clark can be found alongside 2 other notable ballers in the new ad “Shoot!”
When a couple drops “the s-word,” upon finding damage to their car, Clark appears, in Iowa uniform, looking for a hoop. Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler arrives next, similarly disappointed to find that there isn’t a basket in sight. When “old pacer” is used to describe the car, Indiana legend Reggie Miller joins the fun. Eventually, Jake from State Farm assures the couple that everything will be taken care of.
The ad is part of State Farm’s “Right Kind of Magic” creative campaign launching Thanksgiving weekend. Talk show host Jimmy Fallon and rapper/actor Ludacris are also featured in ads. State Farm’s release also references another ad featuring Clark, titled “Coffee Break.”
Clark, the consensus National Player of the Year for 2022-23, continues to grow the game of women’s college basketball. A vocal supporter of the Kansas City Chiefs, Clark recently appeared with Peyton and Eli Manning on ESPN2’s popular alternate broadcast of Monday Night Football.
The Hawkeyes next face Purdue-Fort Wayne on Friday in Estero, Florida as part of the Gulf Coast Showcase.
