Clutch takeaway by Hawkeye defense sets up game-changing run in third quarter
Iowa has found itself in an unexpected dogfight with Colorado State, but the Hawkeyes have tied the game up in the third quarter!
It comes as no surprise that the game-turning play came on the defensive side of the ball for Iowa. The Hawkeyes forced a fumble with Colorado State pinned back near its own goal line and recovered the ball deep inside the red zone.

The drive lasted just one play. Iowa faked a quick screen pass out to the flat with Tyrone Tracy coming back across the formation for the handoff.
No one was able to catch Tracy as he slipped inside the corner of the end zone:

On the ensuing possession, the Hawkeye defense forced a quick punt by Colorado State. A strong return by Charlie Jones and some big offensive plays set Iowa up deep down the field once again.
