Cooper DeJean is done for the season, Iowa confirmed in the Week 12 availability report. After being injured in practice this week, DeJean underwent a season-ending surgery and will not be available for the rest of the season.

Without DeJean, Iowa was still able to rally for a huge win against Illinois. After trailing 13-9 for much of the fourth quarter, Kaleb Johnson and a clutch defensive stand by the Hawkeyes sent the team to a win and the outright B1G West title.

After the game, it was celebration time in Iowa City. And while DeJean did not get to play in the clincher, he was on hand to have a moment with the trophy. Donning a brand-new B1G West champs hat, Iowa shared an image of DeJean celebrating with the trophy.

Here is a glimpse at some of the other scenes out of the Hawkeyes locker room Saturday night:

Beginning next season, the B1G will disband divisions when Oregon, UCLA, USC and Washington join the league. That means Iowa will lay claim to the last-ever B1G West title, a division that has produced some… memorable title races in its history.

Now, Kirk Ferentz’s program will await the winner of Ohio State vs. Michigan for the game in Indianapolis.
