Dane Belton, New York Giants rookie out of Iowa, intercepts QB Daniel Jones in training camp
Dane Belton is in his first NFL training camp with the New York Giants. He’s also getting in some first-team practice reps as a rookie in the NFL.
After posting a first-team All-B1G season in 2021, Belton was selected by the Giants in the 4th round of the 2022 NFL Draft. On Saturday, he reeled in a nice play during practice.
Dropping deep in coverage, Belton was in a great position for an interception of QB Daniel Jones. It was a poor throw by Jones, but Belton was able to hang onto the pick through contact.

Belton had 46 tackles – including 3 TFL – to go with 5 interceptions and 7 passes defended as a part of Iowa’s elite defense last season. He was also able to flash elite athleticism with a sub-4.4 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine.
Hopefully Belton can hit the ground running with the Giants.
