Date, location set for Iowa-Iowa State hoops game in 2022

The athletic departments at Iowa and Iowa State have worked together to get information out regarding next season’s basketball game.
Per Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports, next season’s game will be played on Dec. 8, 2022 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City. Last year’s game was played in Ames, a 73-53 victory for the Cyclones.
Iowa State’s win last year snapped a 3-game winning streak for the Hawkeyes.

The two in-state rivals have played 75 times with Iowa owning a 47-28 advantage in the all-time series. The Hawkeyes have also dominated recently, winning 4 of the previous 6 contests.
The last game played in Iowa City came in 2020, when the Hawkeyes cruised to a 105-77 win over the Cyclones.
A tip-off time and broadcast information for the rivalry bout will be announced at a later date.
