Devan Kennedy is an intriguing and late-rising Edge prospect for the 2024 recruiting cycle out of Arizona. On Monday, he revealed a commitment to come to the B1G to begin his career.

Kennedy committed to Iowa coming off the heels of an official visit to Iowa City. Here’s what he had to say about the move:

“… I want to thank all the coaches that have recruited me, gotten to know me and helped along the way,” wrote Kennedy. “You all saw the untapped talent I possess and encouraged (me) to strongly consider seeing myself in your amazing programs. I can’t thank you enough. Thank you ALL!

“With that being said, I am excited to announce that I have COMMITTED to the University of Iowa!”

After beginning the spring with offers from the likes of Fordham, UTEP, Bowling Green and Idaho, Kennedy began receiving Power 5 attention in May. Since the start of June, he added B1G offers from Illinois, Penn State and Iowa with the Hawkeyes beating out the conference competition for Kennedy’s pledge.

Kennedy is listed at 6-foot-3.5 and 240 pounds out of Brophy College Preparatory in Phoenix, Arizona. Though unrated by the composite, 247 Sports rates Kennedy as a 3-star Edge for the class of 2024.
