Diante Vines was seen warming up for the Hawkeyes today. Defensive tackle Yahya Black should also play, according to The Athletic’s Scott Dochterman.

The WR being on the field is a good sign for the Hawkeyes, who will need all the help they can get today as they battle No. 2 Ohio State in Columbus. Vines is expected to play today, according to reports. Vines has been dealing with a wrist injury.

The B1G clash between the Buckeyes and Hawkeyes would be the first action of the season for Vines. The WR suffered a wrist injury that required casting, and was expected to miss the first half of the season. The sophomore from Connecticut made several appearances for the Hawkeyes last year, but didn’t record any stats.

The Iowa offense could use a boost, as the Hawkeyes currently sit in last place in offense in the B1G. The Hawkeyes failed to score a touchdown until the second game of the season, having outscored SD State with 2 safeties and a field goal in their first contest of the season.

We’ll see if the addition of Vines can help Iowa against the Buckeyes today. Iowa and Ohio State kick off at Noon EST on FOX.
