No. 2 Iowa can add to its College Football Playoff resume when they welcome visiting Purdue in Week 6. Iowa made a major statement with a narrow 23-20 victory vs. then-No. 4 Penn State at home.

ESPN’s FPI is predicting Iowa has an 81.9 percent chance to knock off Purdue and thinks Iowa will finish the season undefeated. The easiest victory according to the FPI is vs. visiting Illinois on Nov 26 (92.6 percent). The hardest contest will be in the regular season finale on Nov. 26 at Nebraska (53.4 percent).

Purdue at Iowa is slated for Oct. 16 at 3:30 p.m. EST and will be televised on ABC.

Purdue leads the all-time series 49-39-3 and won last season’s meeting 24-20. In fact, the Boilermakers have won three of the last four matchups between the two teams. Iowa’s last victory in the series was a 26-20 win on Oct. 19, 2019 at Kinnick Stadium.
