Everything Kirk Ferentz said as Iowa opens spring practices

Iowa is back on the football field, getting spring practices started this week.
The Hawkeyes hit the practice field looking to improve on a 10-4 record during the 2021 season. Despite another strong season and B1G West title, Iowa suffered some letdown losses and let a Citrus Bowl win slip away late with a loss to Kentucky.
On Wednesday, head coach Kirk Ferentz met with the media to discuss the opening of spring practice. His comments covered a wide array of topics, including touching on the switch of Brian Ferentz from TEs coach to QBs coach in addition to his OC duties.

Kirk Ferentz said that when Ken O’Keefe retired, Kirk’s mind quickly shifted to moving Brian Ferentz into the OC/QB coaching role.
