Recently, FOX Sports allowed fans the opportunity to vote for college basketball’s Player of the Year. On Friday, the results were in, and it was Iowa center Luka Garza was the last man standing.

Garza, a first-team All-American and All-B1G selection this season, had one of the most dominant years in college basketball. He averaged 23.9 points and 9.8 rebounds per game this year, while shooting at a 54.2 percent clip from the floor. He also posted an average of 1.8 blocks and 1.2 assists per contest.

Garza also totaled 15 double-doubles on the season and scored 20 points or more in 25 games.

Iowa was bound for the NCAA Tournament this season, finishing the regular season with a 20-11 record and an 11-9 record against B1G foes. Garza was considered by many to be the top big man in college basketball this past season.
