Amani Hooker got his contract extended by the Tennessee Titans on Friday. The former Iowa DB is 24-years old, and got signed to a 3-year extension per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Hooker’s extension will be worth more than $33 million. This has been a long time coming for him, as he was a full-time starter last season.

Hooker was drafted by the Titans in the 4th round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He has appeared in 44 games since starting his NFL career in Tennessee. In his career, he has 132 total tackles, 1 forced fumble, and 5 interceptions so far.

It looks like the Titans wanted to secure their safety pairing before the season opener on Sept. 11 against the New York Giants. Hooker will be playing alongside former MTSU safety Kevin Byard once again this season.

The Titans will be looking to have a full season of running back Derrick Henry this time around. Henry missed the majority some time last season with a foot injury that he suffered in Week 8.

You can watch Hooker on Sept. 11 as the Tennessee Titans take on the New York Giants at 4:25 p.m. ET on FOX.
