George Kittle proved why many refer to Iowa as “TE U” on Sunday. Kittle became the fastest San Francisco 49er to reach 400 career receptions, by doing so in 84 games.

Kittle caught 3 passes for 30 yards receiving in the 30-23 win on the road against the L.A. Rams in Week 2. Kittle has become of the better tight ends in the NFL since coming out of Iowa in 2017.

San Francisco took Kittle in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft, and he has proved his worth at the professional level. He played in 15 games last season and had 795 yards receiving with 11 touchdowns.

Kittle has shown that he can catch and be used as a blocker in San Francisco. The 49ers moved to 2-0 on Sunday after beating the Rams.

The 49ers reached the NFC Championship game last season with Brock Purdy at quarterback. Purdy proved everyone wrong as the last pick of the 2022 NFL Draft.

Fans will be hoping that a full season’s worth of Purdy at quarterback can bring more success.
