George Kittle delivers early playoff TD for San Francisco 49ers
George Kittle is looking to make it back to the NFC Championship Game. He delivered an early blow for the San Francisco 49ers, scoring the game’s first touchdown in Saturday’s divisional matchup with the Green Bay Packers.
Facing a 3rd-and-5 from the 32-yard line, the 49ers dialed up a shot down the field. Brock Purdy’s blocking held up as the quarterback stepped up to deliver the ball.
Kittle had beat his man off the line and was able to come all the way clear down the field as Purdy bought time. The throw was perfect, allowing for an easy pitch-and-catch between Purdy and his tight end.

The touchdown goes down as just the second postseason score of Kittle’s career. It’s his first in the playoffs since the playoffs since the 2022 NFC Championship Game, a 20-17 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
It’s still early, but the 49ers are looking to get back the NFC Championship Game for a 3rd straight season. Kittle and the 49ers have not won the NFC Championship and advanced to the Super Bowl since the 2019 season.
