George Kittle explains why TE is the best position to play on the football field
In honor of National Tight Ends Day, George Kittle of the San Francisco 49ers decided to share why that position is the best one to play on the field.
Gatorade posted a video on Twitter with Kittle explaining his reasons and he had a lot to say:
“My favorite part about being a tight end? You gotta do everything,” said Kittle. “It’s the only position on the football field where you gotta do absolutely everything. We got guys throwing touchdowns in Super Bowls, we have guys carrying the rock, catch the ball, run block against All-Pro defensive ends, pass pro against guys, and inserting like a fullback.”

Kittle’s numbers haven’t gotten back to where they used to be and that’s due to both injuries and not being used as much in the passing game. For this season thus far, Kittle has just 19 receptions for 227 yards and no touchdowns.
He finished with 634 yards and 2 touchdowns last season and that’s while being banged up for most of that year.
Kittle will look to get back to his usual ways when the 49ers host the Colts on Sunday Night Football at 8:20 p.m. ET.
